i have a 1996 grand cherokee 4x4 (all wheel drive) when i got it the drive shaft was broken ( CV joint in drive shaft broke) i replaced that with one from the junk yard and it took alot of the noise away but it still making a sound from the front. this is a daily driver not an off road toy. someone told me that it could be one of the bearings in the front differential.. what is the best way to check what it is?? i took the front pumpkin off and there were no obvious signs of wear. when i punch the gas it makes the noise worse but when i let off kind of when there is no pressure on the drive it stops but when going faster or when coasting to a stop (downshifting) it is worse.... anyone have advice??? thanks..
