Why is my Jeep is stalling when I come to a stop?

It's a 1990, got about 160K on it. It happened the first time about two months ago, and has progressively gotten worse. Now It wont make it between stops without stalling. As I begin to brake the engine starts to idle and finally totally stops. I've already tried getting the tank low and putting in injector cleaner, what else can I do?
No it does not stall while parked, only as I am engaging the brakes or the speed is being reduced.
 
It is likely your IAC (idle air control), it is on the throttle body and is only two screws to remove. Its is easy to clean with just carb cleaner and maybe a toothbrush if needed. I had this problem with my 1990 jeep with 170k miles on it. It should be right below where your air filter tubing connects to your throttle body. I think it is black.
 
the idle sensor may be going out giving your jeep too much fuel for it to handle. does it do it if you are sitting in drive..e.g. when you first start it up and let it sit in park.
 
Sounds like the idle air control valve. Here is how to clean it:

Also, if the VSS signal form the transmission is not correct it can cause stalling when coming to a stop because it does not unlock the torque converter. A bad brake light switch can cause this as well if the transmission does not get the right deceleration signal.
