why is my honda accord stuck in park?

i have a 96 honda accord and a few days ago the gear shifts didn't want to move it only stay on park until i took my spare key and push the shiftlock and even that didn't fix it, whats wrong with it and what should i do?

PS. i park my car in my drive way which has a high incline
 
You should be using the parking brake for an incline to not put so much strain on the transmission. Do you wonder why it is called a "parking" brake? Call a tow truck and take to a mechanic.
