I just got a green tree frog a little over a week ago.
I feed him a few crickets every day or every other day. For the first few days i got him though, he refused to eat.
I searched on the internet and it said that I should leave him alone for a week or two little to allow him to 'settle in.'
So, i did just that.
I still fed him (although he didn't really eat it), gave him fresh water and sprayed his tank twice a day.
After about five days of not taking him out, he started eating.
i then thought that it had signified his 'settling in' and it would be okay to start taking him out now. I take him out a little bit everyday but he is extremely jumpy and sometimes i get scared if i hold him too firmly that it would hurt him and if i don't do it hard enough he'll hop away. With that being said, i still do take him out and hold him, just not for long. Just today, though, I wanted to take him out and he was extra jumpy. After a while of trying to take him out, he made a weird quacking noise.
What does this mean and how can I make it stop if it's a negative sign?
Please no rude comments! I really love my frog and I need help ASAP!
