Why is my friend getting a lexus?

It is a used lexus, probably $21-25k. I don't get it....he can get a powerful, new car for that price that will last him a longer time.

He hasn't even graduated from a 4 year college yet.

I cannot make any sense out of this. Please help. Or should I stop trying to make sense out of things and just drink heavily?
 
Because he wants a Lexus that he can show off to all the gold diggers! Sure there are more practical and economic choices, but for a dumb bar star, its gotta say Lexus or Mercedes-Benz.
 
yeah they can be costly, I don't get it either but it's his money, his choices and hopefully won't be his mistake. I'm sure you've talked to him but all you can do is give your best advice and be supportive no matter what decision he makes. It's his choice after all.


oh yeah ... does your friend have a family or kids?
because that's probably why he's getting it then. One of my family members has a Lexus they are completely safe cars and perfect for families. They got in a crash on the freeway while it was raining because the car hydroplaned but the Lexus saved them. They walked away with minor injuries. Great great cars! Hope one day to have one myself.
