Why is my Fish Tank water dirty?

I have had my fish tank for about a month now. I only have 5 Danio's and an algae eater in it. At first the water stayed pretty clean but for the past 10 days or so looks really dirty. You can see little bits floating around and it just looks muggy...
I have been doing 30% water changes every couple of days and am only feeding once a day. I would like to add more fish but not until this problem goes. Any one have any advice?
I have a filter in there and have already changed it once. Have also used the gravel cleaner.

ok what you do is you feed them 2 times a day , then you buy a thing
called a "gravel vac." at a pet shop there are different sizes for differnt
aqariums . its only like around $10.00 ,but is a must to a fish tank. you put it in the aqarium then you shake it up and down till the water starts going up then put the other end in a buket ( put it in the buket before the shaking ) then watch the water go into the buket for like 5sec. then stick the side in the water in the gravel then move it along the bottom of your tank ! but NEVER empty out your tank ever ! it would kill the cycled water you have in it ! so do what i told you once every week or so and your aqarium will look beaitful ! same thing happen to me to ! i got this and WAAM ! my aqarium is so clean !
