why is my fish suddenly sad looking?

i took my fish out of his water bowl so i could clean the bowl now i put him back in his tank, yes i purified the water so its safe for the fish but i think i might have done it wrong and thats what made it sad whats going on is he going to die
 
He May Be Lonely Stressed Abused Theres All Sorts of Explanations. But Get Him a Bigger Tank it Will Relieve stress.
