i have a gold gourami that is missing scales in two spots along its back. (spine)
it's kind of fat, but does not fight other fish or get picked on.
actually, it's sides bulge out a lot, but the scales are not distended and it swims fine.
there are no other gouramis, so its not mating. the tank is a 20 gallon.
why is it losing scales?
there are probably 5-6 scales missing in each spot. the spots are white colored.
