why is my fish acting like this?

i recently saved 3 gold fish from those stupid fairs. yes i know they dont live long... but i saved one last year at this very same fair and it lived for almost 2 years. so anyway 2 out of the three died, one after another in a two day period. the other however is still living in seemed perfectly fine.. up until a few minutes ago. hes swiming in spirals, and looks as if he cant siwm? like its really hard to explain. he keeps swimming virtical with his face tward the bottom of the tank and is just floating thier till he realizes it and freaks out. but he looks mentally retarded.. could he be deing too? or is this some kind of weird act? he cant swim normal. like he cant stay in one place withouth turning to the side or floating to the bottom...? please help he looks like a plane falling down and crashing. hurry! i want to save him before its too late!

uuummm I hope he doesnt die! But i tihnk he isl because the same thing kind of happened to my bunny! He started crashing into the wall... then he died! Please help your goldfish! have you fed it! oh no i think its dying! poor fishyyy . I hope its okay but this is th synopsis i have. Good Luck!

Actually common goldfish should live at least 25 years. People don't keep them correctly and when they die they just assume that their lifespan is naturally short.

Odds are there is something wrong with your water quality.
What size tank?
Was the tank cycled?
Do you have a filter?
