Since yesterday when I've been picking my 10 month old male cat up he's making these painful sounds. When before he could be picked up with ease, and he enjoyed it. I know how to pick cats up, it's not as if I'm doing it in the wrong way (I've had cats before). It could've been like this for more than 2 weeks as that's the last time I attempted to pick him up and I don't usually feel the need to.
I'm not sure if it's serious or not, he's eating fine, and playing with his brother just fine. He'll let me touch him, stroke him, he's very affectionate. He just makes painful crys and quickly flinches when I attempt to lift him. He's got no physical oddities, and he was fine when I lifted him 3 weeks back.
Should I be worried?
