.. I have a 2006 Toyota Camry, 4 cylinder. Recently (about a week now) I've notice a burnt rubber smell coming from the Passenger side under the hood.. I took it to a mechanic and he said that the water pump has a leak.. Having experience with water pump leakage.. I don't think he's right.. My temperature is normal, it doesn't overheat.. And there isn't anything leaking.. Now the smell is gone, but now its making a rattling noise from the same side.. More less between the engine and the fan/timing belt area.. What could this be?
.. Oh yeah, the rattling sound starts right when I turn the car on.. it proceeds until I turn it off.. this is so embrassing.. Cuz I know other drivers can hear it.. Please HELP!
