Why is my 2003 Mazda6 6-disc CD player doesn't play track 5 on any CD anymore?

It happened a couple months ago. When it comes to track 5 on any audio CD (all CDs, store bought or self burn), it will not play (be silent for the entire length of the song). It will play the track before and after. The player "sees" the track and display its playing progress, just not playing the audio. Does someone have the answer to what may cause this?
 
Tracks are sections on cd's. Your play needs to be cleaned and realigned so that it will track this section. It's just a sign of maintenance needing to be performed. If you do not fix it, it will get worse.
