i think its because we all knew she was dying...his was so sudden...i think the world mourns the loss of both of them..especially for people my age who watched the original charlies angels and wanted her to be their girlfriend or wanted to be her..and had that red swimsuit poster hanging on their wall...

Because he was more controversial and had a larger effect on society... He had a huge following of people who hated and loved him, where as Farrah Fawcett was less publicized, although i feel she should've gotten more attention than she did.
