Why is McDonald's food in the US tasteless while the UK based McDonald's taste so much better?

Not a new discovery to me. I have had US McD in NY, TX, IL & WI. Also McD in China, Thailand, France, Germany & Hong Kong.
The best in flavour were Thailand & my homeland UK.
