Why is Justin Bieber famous only for his looks, not talent? What happened to

Your are so right, the kids only famous cuz girls freak out about his looks. Is he talented? In your opinion, no, but I might go out on the limb and say he has potential. It just depends on your taste in music I guess.
But your so right about his looks, if he was an 80 year old, bald, and obese, I am positive his fan base would be extremely smaller.
But just like with Aaron Carter, Back Street Boys, New kids on the Block, the power of teenage girls obssession has the power to make "cute" and "hot" boys famous, despite talent.

I think he is taking advantage of girls by singing about love and saying he wants to meet everyone of his fans in person. I think its all for his "image". And its kinda sad that girls are wasting there money on a guy who doesn't give a rats a$$ about them, instead of funding charities, and changing the world creating a better place.

I like how you say anyone could replace him. He is the definition of BOY TOY. Play with him till you get bored, then move on to the next "cute and talented" teenage sensation. History proves this-New kids on the block-perfect example.

Ultimately when we get tired of hearing about this "dreamy hunk" all we have to do is put up another tween sensation.
 
the good old days of good music? Note: this is written by a teen girl just in that range of Bieber fanatics, so here's a change of things. What I think.

Justin is only famous because all these little teen girls fall in love with his looks and are all like "OMG he's so cute!" and then immediately fall in love with him, regardless of his voice. If I remember, back in the 80's and all that people were famous for talent, and it was just a coincidence if you were hot. You only made it in the business if you HAD talent.
Now, if you are a boy and semi-cute, you're instantly famous, even if you can't sing. I read an article in my newspaper one time where it said Justin Bieber's voice is the most electrically-altered and digitally produced voice in the whole music business today. I thought there was a time when everyone had talent, and you didn't have to be a teen boy to become famous! What happened to the greats??? Even great shows like "American Idol" and "America's Got Talent" are starting to be affected by this "teen girl vote", cute boys instantly beating talented people, regardless of talent. Luckily in the times I've seen this happen, the true talent soon shines through, and I'm very glad. Ever noticed that we haven't seen many "greats" lately? Back in the 50's, we had Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley, in 60's we had the Beatles and the Stones, in the 70's we had Led Zepp and many great Funk artists, in the 80's, we had Michael Jackson, Queen, KISS, Def Leopard, more Led Zepp, David Bowie, and many many more, and in the 90's we had a few really good people like Toby Keith etc....but soon everything just kinda slipped. There's some stars now like Lady gaga, Taylor Swift, and Adam Lambert just to name a few who are trying to bring back that old time of good music and true talent BACK. You also see all these new bands giving it a go, actually having good talent and potential. And then you see Justin, a boy who I say only became famous from looks, not talent. Listen to him live and you'll understand. Anyone could replace him instantly as the new boy toy, and I'm sick of it.

Bring back good music, I say. Stop cheep knock offs like Justin from being famous for no reason and let true singers shine for their talent. Bring back the past, music world. Please.

All Justin lovers, if you have a good rebuttal to this please state what you want to say, but please do not go "because he's so cute we love him" or some other reason like that, please have it be about his talent. All I'm trying to do is show that if Justin was compared to any of the music of the 80's, he would fall short. It's my opinion though, so feel free to state your opinion. Just be kind and fair, giving a good reason.

btw I am not trying to pick on Justin and I said it's my opinion. I mean no offense on anyone, including Justin lovers. I'm just trying to make a point. If you agree or disagree is all up to you, but don't take offense on you from my post.

I agree with this 100% I can't stand all these "fake" artists who do nothing but get their picture taken and pretend to be talented.
