...on the market? we are shown on the news--- and in books--- how wonderful they are and--- well i agree---but where are they?

if u understand the failures of most renewable energy sources u would also know that getting free or cheap energy is a very tough job

most things known to man come at a huge starting cost..like wind or the sun

but fortunately there are some ways..which surprsingly have come from some of the poorest communities of the world

we in india have developed a drastically improved bio gas setup exclusively meant for urban homes and rooftops..in 3 days flat u will have regular supply of flammable gas which can be used in gas stoves or gas gensets

and it doesnt need cow dung ..just ne vegetable waste will do

Much of what you see in the media or read in new-age books is fantasy or pie-in-the-sky projects funded by government or fools (same-same). They are all trying to sell you something. It's just not energy.

If it was truly practical Wal-Mart would be selling it!

Regarding 'alternative energy', none of them can compete with oil, coal and gas in terms of cost.
