I could care less about "Washington insiders" and "career politicians." The fact is that to manipulate the system as it is, you have to have experience within the system. If Obama were in place, he would not have the experience to manipulate it. Politicians are here to stay. For anyone that thinks that Obama is going to drastically change the way politics are handled in America, you have 230+ years and 535 people in Washington ready to tell you differently. Obama is not going to change anything, it is just a campaign slogan. Bill Clinton used it in 1992 and didn't change anything about the political system. Jimmy Carter used it in 1976 and didn't change the system. Ronald Reagan used it in 1980 and didn't change anything. It is not the system that needs to be changed, it the practice of the system. Without someone in there who understands deeply about how it works, nothing will be changed.
