there is no comparison to begin with? Whenever I want to compare Buicks to Kias (just for fun) people always say "there is no comparison to begin with." Mechanics say that one is a reliable luxury car that lasts almost forever and the other is an absolute piece of sh#t. Why are Kias so bad? I was comparing a Buick Lucerne (2007) to a Kia Optima or Amanti (2007) last week. And that's when I got the "no comparison" response. What do you think?

Because Buick is American, has been around for over a century, is more reliable and has better quality overall.

People who answer they are mechanics are usually liar's and know nothing about cars.

Kia's were very bad cars in the 80;s and 90's.
But now they are great cars and only 1 Kia is bad. The Kia Rio. That is why it is the cheapest car you could buy brand new. Because they had such a bad reputation, people still say they are bad cars. I have driven them and I know people who own them. They are good cars. The Amanti is a luxury car while the Sonata is a family sedan.

Buick is a luxury RWD large car so it is a weird comparison since Kia's Sonata and Amanti are FWD midsized cars. Buicks are also pretty reliable, but not as good as Honda or Toyota or Subaru.
