why is it that the N90 & N93 aint quadband..

first off, motorola owns patent on all quadband and triband chips, so whenever a company uses them they have to pay royalities to motorola. That is why you dont see as many quadband phones, costs more for the company making them

Nokia and many other companies dont make too many quadband or phones with 850 in because of not many people have them here, it is much more expensive here especially pay as you go, and they charge for phones on a 3 year contract which is just stupid. And add in all of these dumb charges like system access fee and making you pay for caller id and voicemail. Since people in north america have 2 and 3 year contracts they do not change as much and tend to buy cheaper handsets.
