I know its not just cars' rims that do it they are just the most noticeable. Anything that gets up to a high rpm seems to do this. Like they initially start off normal (spinning forward with the tires), but then once they start to accelerate quickly the rims start to slow down until they come to a split second complete stop then switch direction (even though technically they arent). Whats up with this phenomenon??
And I'm not talking about "tricked out spinning rims"...I mean the regular rims that come stock on all cars. If you could include some physics or and sort of science behind the reasoning that would be good. I'm a college engineering student and even with my physics classes I still don't know how to answer this question myself haha. ironic aint it?
