the evolutionary roots of our existence and yet Christianity has provided no evidence for creation?
Science is able to tweak theories or drop them when the theory doesn't match with reality and yet Christianity doesn't. Christians had a view of the cosmos that was just flat out wrong and yet they are not willing to offer anything that fits better with reality.
What I can't understand is why a Christian would believe in the creation account. Yet I am just as curious why Christians think that Genesis 1 fits with modern theories. Why not just accept that it was an ancient view of the creation of the cosmos that has very little impact on my faith.
