Why is it that every time I want to build something in Virtual Resort Spring...

...Break, it exits? OK, I bought a really good PC game on ebay, its called Virtual Resort Spring Break. When ever I want to build in Sandbox mode or in any mode, it exits and goes back to windows... Why does this happen? I build something and it just goes back to windows start menu... What can i do to fix this problem? I want to play this game so bad. Thanks.
