Why is it so hard to ejaculate during sex?

I'm 26. Healthy. No prescription medications. Not too overweight. A slight beer belly is all.

With sex or masturbation, it's the same problem. I get to the point where I feel like I'm going to Orgasm, but then it's like someone hit a switch and I stop. Sometimes I get the feeling like I did orgasm, but no ejaculation. Sometimes it's just like everything stops altogether and I may even go flaccid. Eventually, after multiple tries I might be able to reach ejaculation, but it's never a guarantee.

I have a normal sexual appetite. I was married for a short while with no problems. I spent most of my teenage years doing what teenagers do, with no problems. This has been going on for a couple years now, and is really quite frustrating.

Any ideas?

how about you stop pouting and look at the bright side... You can jack off and it feels good but then you don't have to clean up the mess!

I wonder if this coincided with getting divorced, or maybe with the first sex partner after the divorce? Something like that? It could be emotional/mental.

It could just as possibly be physical though, it's definitely something to ask a doctor about. Male sexual function is complicated and you'll probably be referred to a specialist. Don't worry though, you'll get to the bottom of it.

overweight is not good
alcohol could have something to do with it. Figure it out.
