As gas prices are rising, why is it so expensive to buy a car that gets better mileage? I been unemployed for close to 2 years, struggling day in and day out. I drive an Avalanche which is certainly not a gas saver. I looked at the new Chevy Volt, and the price is way out of line. $41,000. Unbelievable!

As in any product if an item becomes very popular the price goes up. Better mileage cars are very popular now because gas prices are going way up. Remember beany babies? When they were very popular one beany baby could cost $350. Its the same principle. The seller of any product will get as much as he can.

The more miles to the gallon the better the car economy is which lately is what a lot of people are after as the petrol prices are going crazy.
