...god for forgiveness? Just a quote i heard awhile ago and i realized its true.

Sinning with the premeditated intent to just repent after is ridiculous. Like you think you've tricked God or something. People need to realize that along with repentance, there needs to be a change of heart, turning away from sin. And when you are doing something intentionally there is no change of heart. I say, try to trick God all you want. See how that works out for ya.

I will try my best to answer this question as I understand it. Asking GOD for something is ok provided it is within HIS WILL for us to have it. HE wants for each of us to grow in love, maturity, and holiness, but many of the things we ask for cause us to go in the opposite direction. Many times we end up becoming hateful and full of envy instead of loving and caring for people around us because we don't ask for the things which will help us to become as THE LORD created us to be. As we ask GOD to make us obedient unto HIM and to save us from our sins through accepting JESUS as our SAVIOR, then HIS SPIRIT begins to LIVE within us and we become a new creature. As we grow in this GRACE we become more like HIM and our real life begins.

Somebody got it backwards.

It is okay to ask God for a bike.
It is not okay to steal a bike.
If you ask God for forgiveness for stealing it has to be because you repented ~ not lip service.

Truth is humanly subjective; fore all Mankind claims they have truth, but none practice it. Forgiveness in the face of blatant sin is never truly forgiven. It is the account of ones life that bring judgment for all souls and those who choose to forego those commandment handed down by their God, choose to so so willing to disregard such laws...how do they claim to beg forgiveness with an untrue heart; fore only those who truly seek forgiveness will be forgiven...
One can ask God for many things, but those material things granted by God are done so not by his hand, but by the hand of Mankind. God cares not for the bike, nor for the one who cries out for it, while there are great numbers that starve and go without.
