Because without the environment we will all die. The environment is more important than any one human life. But if you think about it, they shouldn't give money to the environment cause money is made out of paper and paper kills trees :) But any-who... The environment is beautiful and home to many plants and animals. Money should be spent on saving those species rather than killing people in some foreign country :)
