I know history lessons are very important, but now I have to write an argument about the unimportance of history. Could anyone give me some ideas? Many thanks!

You could say that the past cannot change and shouldn't be dwelled on, I guess. It's kind of hard for me to find a good argument against history. lol

History repeats itself, and as this is the case its clear that each generation makes the same mistakes and consequently the lessons of history are lost. So, people seem to be too stupid to learn from the mistakes of others in this respect. So whats the point in learning history if its to be ignored? Don't learn it then. Its useless. You are wasting your time and would be better off learning something useful. That's one negative attitude towards history. I don't agree with it though.

It's unhealthy to hang on to the past, for we would never progress. But you also need to learn from past mistakes.

because history already happent. and you cant change it. you live right now. and you should think of what is going to happen reather than what happent thousands years ago

Correlation does not prove causation.

It is impure, subjective, "written by the winners", captive to someone's point of view, prone to deception. Science and mathematics are much better suited for linking cause to effect, not history.
