I went to a real golf course for the first time today with my family, who are also beginners. We've been to driving ranges and small par-threes plenty of times so we aren't THAT bad. I didn't even play that bad for my first time out there. Come to think of it I actually did really good. There were points however, where my group was going a little slow, and we had groups behind us that were yelling at us while we were on the middle of a hole. That's when the staff started to get on our case. They made us let several groups play through us, and wouldn't stop stalking us until we left, they even made me stop driving the cart because I'm not 18 yet. Anyway, it was a pretty sucky day.
I guess my point is, how am I going to get better and more comfortable out there when I have all these jerks not getting off me and my groups balls while we're trying to play? Is this common that people will be like that on a golf course?
