Why is flash being blocked on certain sites?

There are 3 specific sites that I use most often (newgrounds.com kongregate.com youtube.com), and all three are now saying that I don't have the latest flash player installed. All other sites that run flash work fine, and youtube videos play on other sites that have them embeded. I've made sure I'm running java, which is what most sites tell me to do. Please help!
 
Do you think it might have anything to do with you not having the latest version of Flash Player installed?

Try uninstalling the version that you currently have using the Adobe uninstaller programme, that you can download from the Adobe website, and then download the latest version of Flash Player.

Some sites regularly use the latest version, whereas others continue to use older versions.
