Recently my mother changed from Direct TV to Dish Network. Before she changed, I call Dish and tried repeatedly to find out ALL the charges my mother would be charged. And repeatedly they would not tell me or tried to change the subject. I called my mother and told her not to change. BUt she did anyway. She got hooked up, however the installer forgot a piece of equipment and said he would be back the next day. 5 days later the installer had never shown at the sametime she learned about ALL the unforseen charges. She cancelled within a week. The customer service person told her she would have to pay. When my mother told her she was not going the CS person told her they would charge her credit card. My mother went right down to the bank and change credit cards. Today she recieved a bill for $250.
Should she have to pay ?
And why is Dish so dishonest in their advertising ?
