Why is Dick Cheney considered a "tough" guy when he dodged the most...

...definitive test of courage in his life? The most terrorizing moment in a man's life in the 1960's was not answering questions for the IRS or even a Senate committee. It was when you received your induction notice from the Selective Service. Next stop was Vietnam where you stood a good chance of dying.

It was a true test of courage and Cheney used every means possible to weasel out. So why is he thought of as a tough guy now?

BTW, I went and I resent the Cheney's, Limbaugh's and Rove's who chickened out of Nam yet are now are considered tough guys.
