Why is Darren Hayes of Savage Garden being such a gimmick anymore?

He produces only a very limited amount of 'special' DVDs to never be produced again. He announces how one can purchase the DVD on ebay, since they've all sold out. Gee, I wonder why? It's not fair to the fans who want to eventually purchase the DVD. And I don't derserve to have to pay more for it because that a$$ h^%$@ couldn't make more freaking DVDs.
 
i have ordered his deluxe Time Machine DVD. even though he states that he only going to make 2000 of this special dvd, he is only saying that so more people will pre-order it. it has been nearly a month that he announced that the deluxe dvd is up for order and it still hasnt sold out. i'm pretty sure that more than 2000 people have pre-ordered it. I think he is only going to make them in this certain period, in reality he is not going to only produce 2000 coz he will be losing money to other loyal fans who want to buy it!
