In addition, how does the way media portrays offenders speak to the manner in which they are treated by the criminal justice system. Explain please.
By corrections I mean the U.S. criminal correctional system (i.e. jails, prisons, etc.)
From my experience, the media depicts a highly inaccurate view of these elements. Why do you think that is?

I don't really understand your question. How do you want them to be covered? The media portrays offenders as criminals. How else would they portray them? What are you getting at?
I don't know that the media shows an inaccurate view. Why do you think it does? What is your experience? Prison is not a nice place, but then its not supposed to be.
