I've been doign a lot of reading and discovered a few things. Did you know that in Canada, you are liable for whatever happens to a CRIMINAL breakign and ENTERING YOUR HOUSE? If a guy breaks in my window right now, and I stab him with my comb that is beside me, I will get charged for assault or possibly murder as long as he is not attacking me. So I am supposed to let a criminal break into my home and not harm him unless he attacks me. righttttt. If I hit a burglerer with a baseball bat, I will get charged.
If I walk down teh street with a bottle of pepper spray or bear spray for self defense and i use it, I will get charged. If Ichase down someone who is stealing from my shop, apprehend him for the cops to arrive i can get charged. Seriously canada? I am proud of my country, but these laws make me want to move to the States. We believe in too much freedom for everyone, and believe that criminals comitting an illegal act should be protected by the law as it is. There has to be some realism and common sense.
