why is Canada's military peace keepers?

After WWII an international tribunal was held at Nuremberg, mostly to prosecute war criminals.

It also attempted to prevent large scale global conflict in the future. Basically, it denounced aggressive military action. Canada has taken that stance and since then has mostly been providing help to citizens in war torn parts of the world.

Whoever thinks you can invade another country and win them over with bombs is wrong. How would you feel if China decided to "Liberate" your country? The only way to win over a notion is with money.

we are peacekeepers but trust me we WILL MAKE the peace one way or another

hollyy

actually Floss you're an idiot
afghanistan is canada's war too. we lost people in 911 and we were targetting by Osama Bin Laden as well as some other western countries [i believe 5 or 6 countries were named]

we are not supplying less than the US. we have a less military population which means we have 'lower' numbers. if we had the same amount of troops as the US itd be about the same

we also have a higher casualty rate

Canada is a fairly neutral country. The wars they are involved in right now, are not a Canadian issue. So they deploy less Infantry and fighting units than the U.S. or Great Britain. This usually lands them in the spot of assistance and/or peace keepers.

The effects of this is that most other countries seem to see Canada as week and timid, which I don't think is the case.
