Why is Biblical history not taught in school?

Well it's not taught in schools in America and probably other non-christian places but it most certainly is taught in the caribbean...

America prefer to teach their students Evolution, even though they say they don't teach religion because of freedom of religion or whatever the reason, but yet they still teach Evolution. In my opinion Evolution is a religion when you think of the meaning of the word religion.

I guess not; but it is pretty disapointing that kids miss on some of the best and most important/influentual writing in human history.

No- if people come to believe in christianity then they can look up the stories themselves, i guess. Maybe they could make it an elective for some public schools. I don't know if they already do.

I dont know. Sure learning about for example the jews being slaved by the egyptians and making their way in the desert sure. I would not want to learn about any biblical figures or directly read anything from the bible.

I would say try to get as much religion out of it as possible.

It's more important to teach developing minds about things that actually happened.

seperation of Church and State

not to mention that if you have multiple religions in a room and you offend one with the teaching you're screwed.

EDIT- I have to agree with whoever said we should have a religious history class, we have one at my school, and some people come out of it with a changed view on life, they aren't as cruel to others and it makes getting along better for the Muslim girls who wear the hijab and the men who wear Yahmakas at my school
