Baseball is 95% nonathletic guys standing around and waiting for something to happen. Football is more or less the same thing. Yet these are the only two sports I ever hear about on sports talk radio (another big waster of time). I understand that the NHL is full of mostly foreign players, and hockey isn't easy to play, but Basketball is a legit American sport that anyone near a playground can enjoy. Hell, even soccer is pretty action packed, especially if you're watching the spanish broadcast.
It seems to me that people like "tradition" over legitimate sports entertainment.
