Why is a Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa bad for a beginning rider?

It is too dangerous for a novice rider. It is so fast that you will most likely lose control and crash. The thing goes about 180 mph.I would have great respect for the power and I have ridden bikes for 35 yrs.Get something like a 600R Honda to start with and it`s real fast to and you can handle it because it weighs less.

Is an F-15 bad for a beginning pilot? How 'bout a 747? Would you hop in an 18 wheeler as a beginning driver? Now before you go and get something smaller, ie a 600, which will kill YOU just as fast, learn to ride. Start smart, learn to ride a small bike and work your way up. 1300cc's and 180 plus horse power is not the way to learn to ride but it is a quick way to get hurt or die....

Same reason a Dodge Viper makes a bad beginner's car.

Would you think it's a good idea for someone to learn how to drive on a super high performance car? Except cars are more forgiving than motorcycles. In a car if you break the back end loose out of a corner or lock up the brakes you're fine unless you actually hit something, though you might be embarassed if you spin out and someone sees you. On a motorcycle if you break the rear loose on a corner or lock up the brakes you're going down, which unless you're going slow and are wearing all the safety equipment is gonna have grave consequences for you and your bike.
