Why in the world did Sarah Palin had an announcement same day of Tribute?

The woman obviously wants the attention on her no matter what. Why didn't she pick another day to announce her resentment of the media and public opinion. The continued disrespect she shows her political opponents and the victims is mind boggling. What do you think?
Again, It wasn't about Palin or Obama, it was a memorial for the victims of a terrible tragedy.
