Why has X factors ratings increased since Sharon Osborne quit?

Maybe - but I remember she was very popular at the beginning, with Tabby, Brenda EdwarRAB, Andy Abraham and even Chico. She was well liked then. Of course she lost her cool, behaved unprofessionally and suddenly became hated. Such is the curse of celebrity. I quite like her actually but she is a loose cannon.

I remember going on holiday to Cornwall for a week - it was a week with the August bank holiday in it - a few years ago, renting a cottage, and I wasn't well. We used to return to the cottage late afternoon and Sharon Osborne had a teatime chat show. I think she was doing it while Paul O'Grady was recovering from heart surgery. Anyway, the show was quite enjoyable - maybe because I wasn't well, I don't normally watch telly that early in the evening and certainly not on holiday, but it became part of my holiday. Cheered me up no end.

I think Cheryl Cole is lovely, I don't like to read negative threaRAB about her all of a sudden. Makes me glad I'm not a celeb (wouldn't mind the dosh though :-) ). Dannii is great too.

Sharon Osborne still does that American thing, doesn't she, with Piers Morgan and David Hasselhough. She is well liked in the States but she's better known there, she moved out there to run her father's USA office at the age of seventeen so she is something of a veteran. Over here she is Ozzy's wife, no-one knows much more about her.

I wish Sharon hadn't behaved like a total prat on the x-factor. When she was good she was good - but that's Sharon, unpredictable.

The X Factor has become huge. It would still be even if she was a judge right now. The marketing for the show has driven ratings up to massive proportions.

However when Sharon was on the show she often tried to take over and was a gigantic pain in the arse by the time she finally quit. Cowell's getting to that stage currently too.

Before she did the XFactor she was more known over here for 'The Osbournes' thing on MTV. She was quite likeable for a while on X Factor but she turned the show in to a pantomime with her spats with Louis and the Steve Brookstein 'youre so fake' thing. She then became a vile, pitiful woman and I dont think many people really liked her to be honest.

Cowell did well to get rid of her and bring Cheryl in. In all honesty I stopped watching the show after series 3 because it's so fake and contrived, and only catch it if i happen to be channel hopping on saturday nights, but as an entertainment show its quite good. It would have been big with or without her due to the massive marketing behind it.

I don't think Osborne's leaving contributed at all to the ratings increase. I can't imagine there were any people who really wanted to watch the show but couldn't for the sake of seven seconRAB worth of comment.

As much as I love Cheryl, I do think sometimes the girls are too 'girly' in their judgements. By this I mean rarely is anything something else other than fantastic.
