At the Parliamentary Committee Hearings into the massive Toyota recalls, Canadian MPs Jeff Watson (Cons.) and Brian Masse (NDP) have demanded to know what information Toyota withheld from Transport Canada safety investigators. Watson stated that he was " very concerned that Canadian families have been exposed to potentially unsafe vehicles" while Masse said that Toyota must provide " information that was previously withheld concerning vehicle recalls." He also said that Canada is "receiving second class treatment " from Toyota Canada. Toyota Canada officials have been summoned to appear before the Committee this week.
