Why has the media made Michael Jackson death big?

There has been 4 OTHER celebrity deaths in the past week and a half. I know that Michael Jackson was "The King of Pop" but he wasn't the most important person in the world. I have not seen anything else on any of the other celebrities that have died. Its been all about Michael Jackson and that makes me sick. It seems that the world only cares about celebrities that were Huge icons in the past that did something wrong, but the world doesn't care about the celebrities that we saw everyday in our day, today. Farrah and Billy Mays most of us saw everyday. I know some of you may of gotten aggravated hearing Billy Mays's voice all the time, but if you think he was one of the biggest TV icons we have ever had. And i think the media should revolve around just Michael Jackson but also show the news about other celebrity deaths and the most important the news that we need the most. The news about the war and our communities.

Um..what?

Farrah Fawcett was hardly in our every day lives. Hardly ever, in fact, as of more recently. And Billy Mays, yeah..he was around, but just on commercials.

It's sad that both of them died, but neither of them were at all as famous, influential, or culturally important as Michael Jackson.

I would not hesitate to say that Michael Jackson was one of the 10 most famous people of ALL TIME. Everyone in the world knows the name Michael Jackson.

Now go around on the street and ask people if they know Farrah Fawcett or Billy Mays..I guarantee you a lot less will know them.

Michael Jackson changed the world of music and was known literally everywhere. He was huge around the entire world. Billy Mays and Farrah Fawcett, however tragic their deaths, were no where near as globally loved and known as Michael Jackson.
