Media Sharing for a droid X, the standard factory application which allows media (audio/video/pictures) to transfer from phone to tv/phone/pc/etc etc (or supposed to) via bluetooth or a DNLA (with few variation depending on the device attempting to connect to)
Only 12hours ago I was transfering files, willy-nilly (for the past week actually) Today I had to perform a factory reset (as I have been unable to send or recieve files via txt message. With that done I successfully lost all my contacts! (Verizon !!) But that is besides the point. Afterthe factory reset I was still able to recieve files and such via the bluetooth (i.e. contacts from another phone) Mere 2hours ago (11pm) I attempted to send a new audio file ding the exact same method as I had previously... Media Share -> start -> Phone -> Copy -> Bluetooth ->Next-> Next->Next->Next-> Audio-> Rings Extend (which is Not the problem as Android system fails also) > Select Music Track -> (File selection)-> Next-> Device selection (already paired phone).
It says starting.. then Connection failed. Previously it worked with that same method. Yes my blue tooth is on, Yes my wi-fi is on. The only difference between now and the earlier recieve today is the clock has adifferent time on it (lol) I have performed a soft reset (battery removal) and performing another factory reset is simply unacceptable to me. I've tried the "airplane mode" trick. I have data on and off.. I havn't done anything different to the settings.
.... I'd hate to think that I have to choose between sending/recieving media via txt or bluetooth... especially when they both worked this morning. Any suggestions or ideas?
- down with verizon! -
as a matter of fact i did back up my contacts with verizon. They did it for me. and yes "Device selection (already paired phone)." the two were paired before attempting as these two phones were communicating just earlier today. Same process taken, same phone, even same files were attempted. to no avail
