Why has my car radio stopped working when the engine is running?

Hiya, my car radio was working fine, now all of a sudden it will work with the ignition on but when i start the car it goes off again.

I cannot see any loose wires anywhere, but have only had a quick look, please can anyone help i cant really afford a new one and am driving nearly 300 miles on wednesday.
