It seems to me that at times in history it was quite normal for western civilization to believe in myths and magic and such but I dont quite understand how that faded out. I assume modern science has a bit to do with it, but it seems as though magic was basically common and in a few hundred years its, for the most part considered a ridiculous notion. Does anyone know any more about the history behind that?
