Why has gay marriage been on the ballot in 32 states and have been voted down 32 times?

Only reason its legal in the states there is now is because they blocked them from having a vote to redefine marriage.

Its not even a partisan issue..So why does the media and yuppies who want to be part of the "in-crowd" make it seem that way?
