why don't you see many people swing like ichiro?

ichiro gets 200+ hits every season (he swings in a linear action)
while everyone else in the mlb swings rotational (ex.albert pujols, manny, ortiz, wright, etc) while they only get around 170 hits (including homers)

ps~ichiro running while hitting is false if u watch his swing in slow-mo

Compare singles hitters and you my see similar swings. Eckstein, Juan Pierre, Ozzie Smith, Brett Butler, ect may look more similar to Ichiro. To compare Pujols who is 6'3", 230 vs Ichiro 5'11", 170 they are going to look different.

Edit: also Ichiro doesn't take many walks as compared to Albert
Albert has 764 walks in his 9 year career vs 396 In Ichiro's 9 years.

It's more of a Japanese baseball thing. It really isn't a power swing. MLB players focus on the long ball more than base hits through 1st and 2nd. I wish more players would hit like Ichiro, but I don't think that will ever happen.
