why dont our leaders seem to care about issues outside the US?

other than war, it seems like presidents, senators, etc. dont really seem to care enough about what's happeneing outside our country. i know our first priority is of course the US, but when it comes to AIDS, darfur, poverty, and things like that they dont seem to really do anything? how come? its our job as the US to help those who can't help themselves.

That's all we pay attention to is foreign affairs. We have serious problems at home that are being completely ignored. Like Jobs, Energy, Education, Roads and Bridges need repair, Manufacturing....etc
 
They don't care about anything inside the US, either. They're just saying what they think the people want to hear. All they care about is the election, not you.

It's all just a big show, and most of the politicians are former lawyers who use lawyer tactics to try and deceive the voters into choosing them over their opponents.

You can't trust a single one of them.
 
It mirrors the people and attitudes of the US. They don't care about anyone besides themselves and is why they are hated in almost every country they travel to. It's also why when I go to any country and they ask if I'm from the US and I say "no" we can spend an hour telling true events that have transpired with stupid Americans that we have met on our travels. Ones that are outraged that people eat horse in some countries because it's "wrong". When asked why they can't explain why. They also look at any other belief system as 'stupid' and 'barbaric'. They also carry their moral 'rights' along with them to other countries. No one can say or do anything to them because of their freedom of speech and freedom to be stupid.

So basically I'm not really surprised that the future and current leaders of the US don't care about anything outside of the US just like I'm not surprised when I meet an American that can't point out Italy, Europe, Asia, Canada, or Australia on a map. They believe they are the center of the Universe and when they lose their superpower due to their lack of organization and foresight they are going to be in for a world of hurt as China and India rise up and claim the new crown of economic and world superiority.
