Why don't my torrents ever work?

Everytime I try to download a torrent on my imac g5, it doesn't work. I've used various torrent downloaders like vuze, transmission and bittorent (everytime I get red bar right away on bitorrent, and transmission gives me error 503). I've opened my ports and everything, I've tried like 50 torrent files none of them work. I tried downloading a torrent file then went on to a PC in the house and downloaded bittorrent and tried downloading the exact same file and it didn't work. Please help, I use torrents alot but I can't use the PC because it's not mine.
I meant to say that when I tried it on the PC that it worked.
 
Lots of torrents are broken, especially those removed for copyright or illegal content. If you're sure its you that's the problem, send an email to the support of the programs you're using.
