Why don't my reverse lights work in my 2005 cadillac CTS?

I checked fuses and bulbs all are ok.I'm trying to find out is thier something further i Can do before I take it to the dealership and spend $85.00 for them to tell me it's something that i could have fixed myself. Any info would help greatly.
 
could be that your neutral safety switch is bad or out of adjustment. there might be some kind of switch on the transmission that could be bad as well.
